50/50

I have been writing about my weight loss and I will continue to do it but, this Fat Momma has other stuff going on in her life!  I'll breeze through the weight loss update right quick.  Yesterday was going great until the afternoon and I got SUPER stressed out and all I wanted was a Dr Pepper!  If you know me at all you know I love me some DP!!  I powered through it but, I did buy a 2 liter of the wal-mart brand of Diet Dr. Pepper which I can have 15oz daily.  I personally think that wal-mart brand tastes better than the real stuff.  And its cheaper.  The results of my weigh in the morning reflected another pound lost.  That makes 4.5 since Monday!  Suck it, fat cells!  No, really, suck it!

Ok, now the life stuff.  I have been blessed with being able to stay home with my son for six months and I have loved every minute of it but, it is time to go back to work.  I have been looking for awhile but, nothing had panned out for me.  I kept telling myself that the right opportunity will come along and God has prepared the right place for me to be.  A few months ago, I had talked to a gentleman about a sales position at a hotel here in town.  The hotel has been open for awhile and is under new ownership, newly renovated, and open under a new name.  The pay wasn't what I was looking for and honestly, I wasn't really ready to go back to work.  Fast forward to yesterday and I saw the same posting online.  Now, the hotel market has been very slim this year and I am chomping at the bit to get back in the biz.  One thing I know and do well is work in the hospitality industry.  I am more an operations girl (General Manager) but, I can still rock in the sales department.  So, I went for an interview today and it turns out the guy working as the interim GM used to run the two full service Holiday Inns here and was the President of the Lubbock Hotel/Motel association!  I didn't recognize him because he had shaved off his bears and had cut his hair.  This man is a Rockstar in the hotel world.  I was sold!  Knowing his back ground and what he is capable of, I knew what ever property he was working at would be golden.  The interview went well and now I just have to charm and win over the owner and his wife next week and HOPEFULLY I will be gainfully employed!  I'm very excited!  Already doing so research for some new business.  The hotel is BEAUTIFUL.  Very modern and clean. Selling the product will not be an issue.  Just praying this is what God has been preparing for me!
